Worship resources for World Refugee Day, Sunday, June 20, 2010

Churches around the world will observe World Refugee Day on Sunday, June 20, 2010. In the U.K. this Sunday is the culmination of Refugee Week (June 14-20). Use worship resources from Church World Service, Disciples of Christ, United Church of Christ, United Methodists, or your own denomination.

In the U.S., this Sunday is also Father’s Day. Imagine the possibilities of linking the themes of refugees and fathers with the lectionary epistle reading (Galatians 23-29), which promises “You are all sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ.”
