Project Director, Chad Kidd and members of the Pastoral Care staff met with me to discuss their project that will bring worship into the hospital rooms of patients in several buildings. Thanks to the generous donation of an individual, technology has been made available to transmit worship in the chapel into patient rooms. A retreat provided time and learning opportunities for the staff to create a schedule of worship for the year and assign dates and topics to specific individuals. In our discussion, I learned of their desire to minister to the staff of the hospital as well as to patients and their families.

The commitment of the Pastoral Care staff to God and to those they serve was evident and their enthusiasm to make worship central in a place where there is so much grief and pain creates a strong foundation for this project of worship renewal.
