Project Director, Donna Thompson and Lucretta Toney, Minister of Music and Chair of the Christian Formation Team for the Rockingham District, met with me in the offices of the Rockingham District in Laurinburg. They described the workshops that are being planned to help congregations throughout the area engage in worship renewal. Praise and Testimony, Visuals and Rituals, Banners and Flags, Liturgical Dance and Drama will be topics of the workshops in the coming months. They indicate that several thriving rural congregations who have been designated as “Come and See Churches” will host these workshops.

Donna’s enthusiasm for the role of visuals in worship was demonstrated in the materials she has recently used in worship. We pray that many congregations will engage in this process of worship renewal.
