PTSD is not only a military problem

Posted by cicw

From Newsweek magazine, dated Apr 20, 2009:

Pastors in Pain:
The Columbine shootings claimed more than just 13 lives. Pastor Don Marxhausen left his job after performing Dylan Klebold’s funeral; Pastor George Kirsten was later diagnosed with PTSD.

While worship resources related to PTSD on the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship website focus on enabling the church and families to be more alert to the needs of veterans, “The Psalms for Those Under Stress” provides rich spiritual nurture for anyone who suffers from PTSD.
