Goodbye (for now) to the "old" Fine Arts Center at Calvin

Posted by cicw

Later this month the Fine Arts Center (FAC) here at Calvin will close for extensive renovation and expansion. We at CICW have a lot of memories of what we’ll now know as the “old” FAC, where we attended or performed in concerts, worship services, lectures, and countless other events over the years. We can’t wait to see the beautiful new building that will open in the Fall of 2010! Above, we take one last look at the “old” FAC.

Here are details from the Music Department about the final concert in the old FAC on Saturday night:

On Saturday, May 9, the Calvin Orchestra and Alumni Orchestra, under the direction of Robert Nordling, and the Capella and Campus Choir, under the direction of Joel Navarro, will perform “A Concert of Covenant”, the final concert held in the Fine Arts Center before it closes for extensive remodeling. The concert will take place at 7:30 pm in the Calvin College Fine Arts Center Auditorium. Admission is free; no tickets are required.
